Visit The City Of Agadir For Some Of Most Popular Attractions In Morocco
Agadir is a charming seaside resort that attracts many national and international tourists. 257.9km from Marrakech and 175km from Essaouira, it is the capital of southern Morocco.
What are the best things to see and do in this city?
-
Medina:
This new Medina is surprisingly original and beautiful.
You can walk freely through the maze of streets and discover all the beauty of this complex which was reconstructed with taste and refinement.
-
Souk El Had:
A really large souk with 14 entrance doors where you can find everything: jewellery, fruit and vegetables, meat, souvenirs. The quality is of the merchandise is generally high.
It’s an immersion into an authentic Morocco and a unique experience, which is worth the detour.
-
Crocopark:
A must visit for a family trip! The park is super clean and there are staff on hand to explain things about the animals if necessary. The plants are superb, as are the animals. There are 100s of crocodiles as well as iguanas, tortoises and birds.
-
Agadir Beach:
The beach of the bay of Agadir is clean and pleasant. You can walk there safely with children; oddly there are many weight machines all along the promenade. There is a pedestrian walkway all along the beach alongside restaurants and cafes.
-
The Marina:
This is a beautiful little marina that is different from the rest of the city. The walk is pleasant with upmarket shops.
The view is magnificent over the moored boats.
There is an opportunity to take boat excursions alone or with groups. Group departures are scheduled in the evening.
-
The Kasbah of Agadir:
A fabulous panorama from the top of the mountain. The sunset is a sight to see, it’s really a great place for meditation and relaxation.
