Gnaoua Festival Tour 2022 In Essaouira, Marrakech, Casablanca And Rabat

“After two years of absence due to the pandemic and since the current conditions still do not allow the organization of the twenty-third edition of the Gnaoua Festival, the event, faithful to its unique spirit, reinvents itself again and becomes the Gnaoua Festival Tour”. This is how the organizers of the Gnaoua Festival announced the return of this meeting in a different form.A musical caravan will criss-cross Morocco from June 3rd to 24th, 2022 to meet their loyal audiences in Essaouira, Marrakech, Casablanca and Rabat. And each city has its own concerts: 12 concerts in Essaouira, 9 in Casablanca, 5 in Rabat and 5 in Marrakech.

Four stops for this musical caravan in the colors of the festival: the purest Tagnaouite and increasingly daring fusions.

“This tour will operate in accordance with approved gauges and applicable public reception conditions. Because it is important to maintain the connection between the festival and its audiences and to continue to spread a message of hope and tirelessly strengthen the social bond,” the organizers said in a press release.

• Essaouira hosts El Menzeh and Dar Souiri on June 3rd and 4th.
• In Marrakech, at Megarama and Center Les Etoiles by Jamaa El Fn,a on June 9th and 10th.
• In Casablanca, at the Stade Mohammed V and in Uzine, on June 16th, 17th and 19th.
• In Rabat, at the National Theater Mohammed V and La Renaissance, on June 23rd and 24th.
