Casablanca

ABOUT CASABLANCA

Casablanca, the largest metropolis and the economic heart of Morocco, is located on the Atlantic coast. This city stands out for its major ultra-modern tourism projects and its Art Deco architecture dating back to the early 19th century, which gives it a unique charm. Casablanca is set to host the 2030 World Cup, a challenge that has required the city to transform itself to meet the scale of this global event.

The Hassan II Mosque was already an outstanding architectural achievement, but visitors can also discover the new Casablanca Corniche, lined with ultra-designed modern buildings, the rehabilitation of many neighborhoods, and the development of new infrastructures such as the cruise terminal and the new industrial zone. These projects will further strengthen Casablanca’s status as a smart, attractive African metropolis.

The redevelopment of the Aïn Sebaâ Zoo has reopened to the public after an impressive renovation. High-speed and modern transportation systems such as the TGV, RER, and tramway allow fast and efficient travel to reach desired destinations.

It is also worth mentioning the new Casablanca football stadium, the Hassan II Stadium, a monumental project currently under construction in El Mansouria (Benslimane), with a capacity of 115,000 seats. It aims to become the largest stadium in the world for the 2030 World Cup and will replace the Mohammed V Stadium.

All these high-performance and ultra-modern transformations of Casablanca have been driven by the desire to host the 2030 World Cup while positioning Morocco among the world’s top tourist destinations.

On a cultural and social level, Casablanca is a cosmopolitan city where different cultures, languages, and lifestyles intersect. It reflects modern Morocco, with a young, active, and ambitious population. Despite its fast-paced and sometimes stressful rhythm, Casablanca remains a city full of opportunities, energy, and contrasts, embodying both Moroccan tradition and openness to the world.
