Beans with meatballs

  • 350g minced meat.
  • ¼ bunch of very finely chopped coriander.
  • 1 large garlic clove, peeled and crushed.
  • 1 tsp spices for kefta.
  • 1 pinch of hot pepper.
  • Salt according to taste.
  • Beans in sauce:
  • 1 small can of canned beans.
  • 1 onion, peeled and cut into thin strips.
  • ¼ bunch of very finely chopped coriander.
  • ½ cube of beef stock.
  • 1 pinch of garlic powder.
  • 1 tip of cumin.

Mix the minced meat, the finely chopped fresh coriander, the crushed garlic, the salt and the spices. Make balls the size of a walnut and set aside. In a generous drizzle of olive oil over medium heat, brown the minced meatballs for ten minutes. When these are nicely browned, remove them and reserve on a plate, in this same oil then brown the onion for 5 minutes, then add the well rinsed beans, half a stock cube, the very finely chopped coriander, the water and the spices to cook for a good twenty minutes, stirring well. Soak the beans in the aromas of the sauce.

Finally add the cooked meatballs, adjust the seasoning, add two tablespoons of water if necessary and finish cooking for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is smooth.
