THE VALLEY OF THE ROSES

The Valley of the Roses starts at the village of Kelaa Mgouna, the castle of Mgoun, on the road from Ouarzazate to Tinghir.
 Roses are grown there, as the name suggests, to make beauty products, rose water and perfume.
Once a year, in May, roses are celebrated and people from the mountains descend to the village to present their most beautiful daughters to the Miss Rose competition.
The rest of the year, especially between March and May, it is pleasant to walk beside the river to the bottom of the valley from village to village.
